Josh Hartwell
Chief Creative Officer
Joshua Hartwell is an accomplished performer and dedicated educator based in the vibrant city of Houston, TX. Born and raised in the Houston area, Joshua's passion for music led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, studying under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Lonny Benoit. He further honed his skills by earning a Master's degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, studying with renowned professors Dr. Dean Gronemeier and Dr. Timothy Jones.
With a wealth of experience, Joshua has made significant contributions to various educational programs and ensembles. He served as a valued member of the staff at Foothill High School in Henderson, NV, where he skillfully instructed both the front ensemble and drumline. Joshua's expertise extends to numerous marching activities in Texas and Louisiana, encompassing both outdoor and indoor settings. He has also held private lesson positions, imparting his knowledge of percussion and drumset to aspiring musicians. Previously, he held the esteemed position of Director of Percussion for Goose Creek Memorial High School and its feeder cluster in Baytown, TX, and currently, he contributes his talents to Pearland High School and other surrounding school districts.
Joshua's musical journey has seen him perform with a diverse range of ensembles and bands across Texas, Louisiana, and Nevada. In 2016, he was a member of the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps Front Ensemble, being a part of DCI’s Most Improved Corps that season. In the Las Vegas area, he showcased his professional prowess as part of esteemed organizations like the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Destinations by Design, and UNLV. Notably, he entertained audiences on the renowned Las Vegas Strip, delivering captivating performances at corporate events, conventions, and private parties with entertainment drumline ensembles. Today, Joshua's freelance endeavors take him throughout the Greater Houston area, where he continues to inspire audiences with his remarkable talent.
Recognized for his exceptional skills, Joshua is proud to endorse Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets, as well as SABIAN Cymbals, further emphasizing his commitment to delivering top-notch performances and achieving sonic excellence.

Matt Blum
Chief Business Officer
Matt Blum is a highly skilled marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in various industries. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Intermedia Arts from Arizona State University, Matt brings a creative perspective to his work.
Throughout his dynamic career, Matt has assumed pivotal roles, including Marketing Manager, Business Development Consultant, and Box Office Manager, across diverse organizations, from the esteemed Houston Astros to innovative startups. Demonstrating a profound understanding of strategic marketing and communication, Matt has consistently delivered impactful results by developing and executing comprehensive strategies for an array of products and services. His expertise extends across multiple sectors, including software, financial services, and entertainment, where he has continuously achieved exceptional outcomes.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt is a passionate and highly acclaimed performer who has showcased his exceptional talents in various high-profile groups and events. He has achieved remarkable success by chartering groups such as Atlanta Quest and MID, as well as performing with renowned ensembles including Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps and the Sun Devil Marching Band. Matt's captivating performances have mesmerized audiences of all sizes, leaving a lasting impact across the country, including a notable performance in front of the President of the United States. His talents have also taken him to diverse circuits and venues, allowing him to continually refine his craft and acquire invaluable experience in the world of performance.
As a strategic thinker, Matt is committed to helping organizations achieve their marketing and communication goals. He stays at the forefront of industry trends and best practices, embracing a lifelong learning approach to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Matt cherishes his roles as a loving husband to Jennifer and a doting father to their son, Theo. He finds joy in spending quality time with his family, creating lasting memories. When not performing or enjoying family moments, Matt indulges in his other passions, including sculpting, cooking, and traveling. These diverse interests fuel his creativity and provide inspiration for his work.
